Sausage Casserole
Christmas breakfast sausage casserole is a great name for this dish. But this casserole is to good to reserve for one day a year. I recommend Jimmy Dean brand Maple flavored pork sausage.

Sausage Christmas Breakfast Casserole
Ingredients
1 pound maple flavored pork sausage
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 eggs, beaten
2 cups milk
6 slices white bread, toasted and cut into cubes
8 ounces mild Cheddar cheese, shredded
Directions
Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and set aside.
Heat a medium sized skillet over medium heat. Crumble the maple flavored pork sausage into the skillet and cook until the pork sausage is evenly browned and then drain.
In a medium bowl, mix together the mustard powder, salt, eggs and milk. Add the pork sausage, bread cubes, and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir everything together well to coat evenly.
Pour the pork sausage mixture into the greased 9x13 inch-baking dish. Cover, and chill the casserole in the refrigerator for 8 hours, or overnight.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
Cover the baking dish and bake for 45 to 60 minutes. Uncover and reduce the temperature to 325 degrees F. Bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the casserole is well set.
So easy, so tasty, just great!
